McGill Computer Science Summer Camp
The McGill School of Computer Science is organizing a 1-week Summer Camp for High-School and CEGEP students. The camp revives a long McGill tradition of bringing young talent to campus and helping students get excited about developing their passion for science.
Objectives
- Feed students’ passion for computer science and programming, and expand their skillset.
- Get students excited about competitive programming and train them for participation in the Canadian selection for the International Olympiads in Informatics.
- Build a community of young computer scientists, and connect them with McGill and with the Quebec computer science industry.
Why it matters
While high-school students from all other Canadian provinces have been regularly participating in the Canadian selection for the International Olympiads in Informatics, Quebec has not been represented in recent years.
